Luke Thornton Canberra Massage Therapy

Remedial Massage Therapist

Diploma of Remedial Massage. Bruce CIT

Originally from Hamilton, NZ. Luke moved to Canberra in 2001 to be with his family. Since then he has worked as a mechanical engineer, draftsman, and project manager in HVAC. Luke gained his Remedial Massage qualification from the Canberra Institute of Technology in 2016.

As a part time student of martial arts Luke has a keen interest in fitness, anatomy and physiology, works with the Canberra Raiders, and provides volunteer work for sporting events and disability services.

Luke commonly treats shoulder and back pain, but enjoys working with anyone, whether it’s postural stress and strain from repetitive work or exercise, or rehabilitation after an injury. People can and will put up with a lot of pain in their daily lives and to be able to reduce that pain, whether it’s long or short term is a good thing, and why we do this.

Luke is a member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists.

In his spare time Luke enjoys watching Red Dwarf, digging in the backyard, and going to the beach.
