Dear Loyal Patients,

With the current Covid19 situation looking to be currently under control (ish….), we are seeing Canberra open upto our new normal and we have relaxed some of our Covid procedures/protocols. The safety of our patients and employees are still our priority. Although we are back to pre-Covid hours and practitioners have returned to working in multiple locations most other procedures/protocols will remain for the foreseeable future.

Our commitment to you remains unchanged to what you, as patients, have become accustomed to as part of the CCHN team:

  • Practitioners and staff are staying home and getting Covid tested should they feel even the slightest symptoms.
  • Staff will continue to follow stringent hand hygiene practices and wear facemasks, changed between patients.
  • Staff will be temperature tested and screened for any Covid symptoms daily.
  • Surfaces are cleaned hourly with hospital grade detergents.
  • Our waiting room enforces social distancing mandates with X’s to indicate where to sit.
  • Minimal contact is enforced when taking payments, no cash payments please.
  • Telehealth appointments are available to all patients (especially those who are required to self-isolate)

Our business involves touching people and we are acutely aware of the necessity of the service we provide and the risks it could pose to the CCHN community.

What you can do to help:

  • Get tested and stay home if you are not feeling well.
  • Wash/sanitise your hands before you enter the practice.
  • Wear a mask.
  • Book Telehealth where applicable.
  • Attend appointments alone unless a carer is necessary.
  • You are welcome to wait in their car prior to their appointment (instead of in the waiting room).

We want to remind you that in times like these, our mental health can take a hit. Make sure to talk to friends, family and seek professional medical advice. Limit your exposure to sensational media, and stick to the facts. Lean on us and your own community! Mental health is a huge component of well-being, it’s not just all about eating well and leading an active lifestyle. If you have further questions or are looking for advice you can also call the COVID-19 helpline, 02 6207 7244, from 8am – 8pm daily.
