Many private health funds offer a rebate on various therapies including Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Remedial Massage Therapy and Exercise Physiology. The amount and availability of rebates depends on your individual policy, so it’s a good idea to check with your health fund before your first appointment to confirm your eligibility.

Medicare

In general, osteopathic treatment & physiotherapy is not covered by Medicare. However, people who have chronic or complex conditions may be eligible to receive treatment by allied health professionals under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan. Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are included among the allied health professionals who are able to provide this treatment. To be eligible you will need a referral from your GP for treatment. An EPC plan provides a partial Medicare rebate for up to 5 treatment sessions.
